Made in California by world-class carvers and upholsterers, I can’t say enough about Minton. Very little on the market matches their finishes or elegance. It might not be your cup of tea, but most people can respect the craftsmanship even if they are not the least bit interested in a carved, gilded sofa. A modern sofa made in the Netherlands has to be worth the shipping, and this sofa certainly is. With stainless legs and a really deep seat, it’s as comfortable as it is striking. See it installed here.

Jazz sofa by Kravet has transitional styling with clean lines, loose seats and backs and wood legs.

A designer friend and I joke that everyone who sits in the Jazz sofa buys the Jazz sofa. So it’s no surprise that it’s the first thing you see when you enter the Kravet showroom. I recently placed it as a sectional in a modern high-rise, but it is equally at home in just about any style, because it’s customizable. Sits like a dream. See it installed here.
